We first check whether the source is suitable for spoken delivery, clarify pronunciation and open questions, and suggest editorial adjustments where needed. Required length restrictions are agreed against the source text and intended use.

Spoken delivery, pronunciation and direction
Before recording, we clarify spoken delivery and, where needed, pronunciation of numbers, measurements, proper names and abbreviations. Editorial changes and adaptation to a particular spoken length are agreed with you.
An additional final review by a director or voice artist can prepare the text for the specific recording. This and any special timing or picture adaptation are production services agreed separately.
Spoken length, video context and subtitles
Languages differ in sentence structure, word length and speaking speed. If the production has a fixed duration, the translation must respect it while retaining the essential content.
Voice-over, subtitles and recordings without picture reference have different requirements. We therefore clarify timecodes, character or length limits and picture reference before translation.
Quality control and change requests
You receive the reviewed language version for approval before audio production. Terminology, proper names and preferred pronunciations should be settled by this stage.
We coordinate agreed changes and maintain a clear production version. For literary texts, required adaptations are agreed with the relevant rights holders.
Turnaround, larger projects and business service
Your quote confirms the delivery date for the volume, language pair and chosen service level. Multiple translators can work in parallel on large or time-sensitive projects.
Every project receives an individual fixed-price quote. The regular service level includes business service with project management, incoming file checks, analysis, scheduling and resource planning, communication and delivery. Project information and files are available around the clock in the customer portal.

Which service level fits my production?
Budget uses project-managed machine translation with a formal check of the results and is designed for internal content and further processing. Standard includes specialist translation, specialist editing and two quality checks. Premium adds multiple quality checks and your own translation memory. We advise on the right scope for published scripts; additional production adaptations are agreed separately.
Does the translation price include recording?
Voice recording is quoted separately. We can coordinate translation, script preparation, casting, recording and subtitling in one project.
Can you translate existing subtitles?
Yes. Send your subtitle file, video and target languages, together with character and timing limits. We clarify translation, editorial work and any additional adjustment to the subtitle timing.
